Bobbie T. Clemons
My name is Bobbie T Clemons. I was born March 9 in Bethel North Carolina. Twelve years ago, I married my best friend Lemont Clemons. To our union, we joined our children our 2 sons Ty’Quan and De’Mar and 3 daughter Paris, Shagia, and Lashauntia.
I have been an advocate in the Mental Health field since 2003. I am very knowledgeable of the field. I feel that I am a strong advocate for people with a Mental Illness and I will help them any way possible and I love ensuring that they know their rights.
I am an active member at Holy Temple Church where my Pastor is Pastor William Robinson. I enjoy living my life a Proverbs 31 Women of God so exemplary and so virtuous, and I have a heart to please God.
What made you join the SWAT Organization?
I had never personally experienced Domestic Violence but as a child I seen it. The affects that Domestic Violence have on children that see it, I knew that when I grew up I would never allow any man to cause me hurt or harm. So, I wanted to advocate for Men and Women who were afraid to advocate for themselves. I wanted to be a supporter of those who have been through Domestic Violence and who was afraid to protect themselves.
What is your role in organization
I am appointed as the Secretary for the organization. I help to promote the events. I help to conduct and schedule meetings to make sure the organization has what it needs and to help schedule the founder and any speakers. I am a prayer warrior for the team and make sure that prayer takes place before and after anything that we do. Without God, we are nothing. I also coordinate the attire for each event.
What is your vision for the organization
Along beside the Founder and our team I want to see the organization expand outside of Pitt County. I want to see the spiritual level increase where the churches are reaching out to spread awareness on Domestic Violence, where everyone steps outside of their comfort zone and bring Awareness and Educate the people on such a touchy subject. To see the organization be able to support families who are leaving an abusive relationship, children whom have witnessed domestic violence and most of all to BUILDHOPE4TOMORROW!!!
